Support Group
PFLAG Detroit announces a new breakout group at our general meetings.
Paul Pontois and Saroya Jamal will be leading a group aimed at
the youth/young adults who attend our meetings.
We hope that more young people will attend our meetings to meet
others and discuss issues that are relevant to them.
Hopefully they will feel more comfortable interacting with their
peer group.
Saroya and Paul are our newest and youngest board members, and they are
certainly better attuned to issues of interest to young people who are
questioning or have recently come out.
This group will be in addition to our existing support groups—new
parents, transgender, and regular.
Of course, young people are free to attend the regular or
transgender groups if they choose.
