Barbara Christiansen Memorial Public Library Project

Our Public Library Project is dedicated to donating gay-positive books to public libraries for a greater understanding of the real lives of our children.

Putting A Human Face On Homosexuality

Putting A Human Face On Homosexuality  is a program designed to address fear of those who are different and to better understand the experiences, expectations and spirituality of gay, lesbian people and their families by visiting various congregations.  PFLAG Detroit believes that all are the children of God.  Each of us has the right to be welcomed into the community, to hear the word of God, and receive pastoral care. The purpose of these meetings is not to debate religious issues, but merely to open the door to what has often been a forbidden subject.  By telling their personal stories, we provide an opportunity for people to better understand the lives of gay, lesbian persons and their families.   To have PFLAG Detroit present a panel discussion at your facility, click  Further Details
