The Judson Center, a nonprofit organization that helps families in crisis and need. A social service agency which accepts and help GLBT become  licensed foster care and adoptive parents

We are inclusive, open to every person in the communities we serve, welcoming children, youth and adults regardless of race, religion, socioeconomic status, disability, sexual orientation or other aspect of diversity. 

We are Lesbian Moms who are interested in networking in our local community. We want to share information, resources, and advice. We want to know Moms who have children of all ages and who bring different stories. We want our children to know other families like their own. So far we are over 200 local gay families strong.

The Downriver chapter of Parents, Families, and Friends of Lesbians and Gays

Heart Strong, Inc.  is a non-sectarian outreach established to provide educational resources, compassion and understanding to GLBT and allied persons adversely affected by the influence of conservative religious educational institutions.

We meet on the second Friday of every month at 7:30 p.m. at High Park United Church, located at 1081 Brenchley Ave., in Sarnia.  We meet on the second floor in the Fellowship Room.

The Midwest AIDS Prevention Project (MAPP) is one of Michigan's largest and oldest non-profit, community-based organizations whose mission is the prevention of HIV transmission through AIDS education and safer sex information. Working closely with the Michigan Department of Community Health, city and county health departments, community-based organizations and health care professionals, MAPP has developed innovative and effective behavior-based workshops, outreach projects and education programs for a wide variety of targeted populations and locations.  Our mission is carried out by a diverse group of individuals who have worked as staff and volunteers with local, state and national AIDS organizations for over a decade.

Coalitions for Inclusive Scouting are grassroots organization all around the US that are dedicated to fostering discussion and education about the current state of the scouting program in the United States. They have formed in response to the discriminatory practices of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA, Inc.) with respect to religion and sexual orientation, and comprise individuals and organizations who want to find ways to both support the scouting program, and to make the benefits that scouting has to offer equally available to all youth.

HRC FamilyNet is a website maintained by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation devoted to the issues of concern to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender families.

People Who Care About People With AIDS

The People Who Care ministry was started as a positive response of the public hatred and media hysteria that surrounded AIDS in those days.  Founder REV. Rod Reinhart started this ministry to remind the church and to proclaim to the world that God loves all his people.
